Hello All

I am trying to configure basic workflow in 12.1 so that when an analyst goes into a workfow task for a change order and clicks on the edit button his name is already defaulted into the assignee field. i am getting complaints from my users that they have to type their name in everytime and it would be nice if SD could recognize them as the log in user and default their name in the field.

I thought that by setting up a data partition for the sd analyst as

default
workflow_task
Assignee = @root.id

would take care of it. It however isnt apparently that easy. Any suggestions as to what I can do for this? I looked and didnt see much.

I have tried to do this with java and not much luck. I am also trying it with macros.Does anyone have an idea as to how to create a macro thats a condition where a task is set to edit mode then do this......

I have created a macro that sets the task assignee to the @root.id. However, I am struggling with the condition for it. I need to create a condition that says.....

when wf_task = edit

then

set wf_assignee=@root.id.

I have the second part just need to know if I can create the first part to trigger it.
